One of the many things brilliant things that come with being an entrepreneur is the freedom to come up with ideas and make them a reality. One of these ideas that has been brewing over the last few months has finally come to fruition.
Outside of Huxlo I spend a lot of time swimming, cycling and running - and I do that with a handful of like minded people. A few of these individuals are extremely good at swimming, cycling and running. They compete in triathlons and to a very high standard, frequently making appearances on podiums around the country (and sometimes around the world!).
They're not professional athletes, and nor do they necessarily want to be, they each are very talented at their chosen profession. But they do deserve some support, a team that looks out for them and recognises the hard work they put in to the sport.
Introducing the Huxlo BikeScience Triathlon team. A team for hard working athletes who balance their sport with flourishing careers.
Why team up with Bike Science? Bike Science are the UK's most experienced Retul bike fitters and are acting as bike shop and athlete testing support. Most importantly - from experience we trust them. Having a bike shop that looks out for you and allows the athletes to focus on their training is invaluable.
The first three athletes have been announced
Josie Rawes
Josie is a Dr of Physics and a mean triathlete. Coming from a swimming background you'll find her coming out the water right out front. Here she is as she wins overall female at Cotswolds 70.3. Josie is currently training for the ironman world championship in Kona after qualifying by winning her age group in Ironman Wales last year.
Rosie Hattersley
Junior Doctor, Ironman Weymouth Age Group Champion and Ironman World Championship athlete! A long distance runner at heart, Rosie has been spending this year working on her speed on the track and making massive improvement with her swim.
Kate Mactear
Mechanical engineer and European triathlon champion! Having previously raced at shorter distances and as a GB age grouper, Kate's next big race is her ironman debut at Weymouth 70.3 in just 4 weeks.
